Mark is a Partner in our Regulatory Assurance team. He is our Global AI & Algorithm Assurance Leader and a leading member of our multi-disciplinary Internet Regulation team. He has over 20 years of experience across audit and assurance, regulatory compliance, regulatory investigations and disputes.

Mark has led the development of our assurance practice as it relates to our approach to assisting firms gain confidence over their algorithmic systems and processes, in light of new and emerging regulation. He has extensive experience of supporting firms navigate through regulatory change, notably in financial services, where he has a particular sub-sector specialism in the area of algorithmic trading, but also more recently in respect of supporting firms with the interpretation of the DSA and DMA audit requirements.

Mark is leading our efforts in respect of developing an approach to independent audit under the Digital Services and Digital Markets Acts, leveraging internally recognised standards. He also is Deloitte’s representative with the EU Commission in respect of the independent audit under the DSA and DMA.

Mark holds a Masters in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Imperial College (London) and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
