Paul Lodge is an accomplished leader with extensive experience driving data analytics-enabled transformation across complex, highly regulated environments including payments, intelligence, law enforcement, healthcare and social welfare delivery. As Chief Data Officer for the Department of Work and Pensions, he set the vision and strategy to optimise 90,000 colleagues in leveraging data and analytics to serve 22 million customers and manage over £180 billion in payments annually. He successfully led the implementation of a cloud-based data architecture and data mesh platform to break down silos and enable advanced analytics for improved citizen outcomes and reduced costs.

Throughout his career, Paul has leveraged his expertise in data strategy, security, governance, and analytics to spearhead major change initiatives. As Transformation Programme Manager for the National Cyber Crime Unit, he delivered a £120 million, six-year effort modernising technical law enforcement capabilities to counter cyber threats. In the private sector, he managed large-scale global transformation programmes focused on supply chain optimisation, HR transformation and medical imaging process improvements for major corporations.

Paul is a recognised thought leader on data-driven transformation, sought out to serve on advisory boards including the Gartner global Data & Analytics Advisory Board.
