Sarah Greasley is the Director for Solutions Architecture for EMEA Amazon Web Services (AWS). She leads Solution Architecture across the EMEA Worldwide Commercial Organisation. She and her team support global startups, digital native companies, Independent Software Vendors, Small Midsize Businesses and Enterprises. Her organisation focuses on prescriptive solution guidance across 200+ full featured AWS services and solutions such as sustainability, resilience, business continuity, infrastructure, compute, storage, databases, cloud operations, artificial intelligence and machine learning, security, people transformation and management governance.

Prior to AWS, Sarah spent five years with Direct Line Group, as Group Chief Technology Officer, responsible for Technology Strategy, Architecture and Innovation Enablement, and leading the adoption of cloud technologies across the group. She also held several technical executive roles with IBM and was appointed a Distinguished Engineer in 2011. She is a Fellow of the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Sarah’s studies include a degree in Mathematics from Cambridge University. She is a STEM advocate, and an active participant in Women in Technology initiatives. She is also a school governor with particular responsibility for digital strategy and learning.
