The UK Fast 50 is one of the UK's foremost technology awards programmes. Now in its twentieth successful year, it is an acknowledgement of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in the UK. The ranking is based on revenue growth over the last four years.
Launched in 1998, the UK Fast 50 awards are all about growth driven by leading intellectual property and are a celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship.
The UK Fast 50 is part of an international programme run by Deloitte. Qualifying entrants of the UK Fast 50 will be put forward to the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) programme, along with entrants from other national programmes run by Deloitte in the EMEA region.
Previous winners have come from across the UK, are both large and small, and include some of the most dynamic players in all areas of technology, from internet specialists to biotech, digital media technology to life sciences, computers to semiconductors and software to telecommunications.
Every year we host a black tie and gala awards dinner where the CEOs and CFOs of the winning Tech Fast 50 businesses join us and our sponsors to discover their ranking. Our 20th anniversary ceremony was held at the London Hilton Bankside on 16 November 2017, and as a new addition for this year we added an extended networking session whiich took place before the ceremony began.
New for 2017: Rising Star award
To mark the 20th anniversary of the UK Technology Fast 50 awards, Deloitte and our three sponsors each named a UK technology Rising Star. This new category recognises the innovation and achievements of UK tech businesses who are leading the way but have not been in operation for four years and therefore cannot yet enter the awards. DLA Piper’s Rising Star was Darktrace, Oracle NetSuite named Goodlord, Silicon Vally Bank recognised FiveAI as their Rising Star and we named Babylon Health as ours. Congratulations to the 2017 Rising Stars - all very worthy contenders who we hope to see at the 2018 awards ceremony!
