We had a blast at our pre-conference day, with our immersive labs fostering learning and ideation through interactive learning sessions.
Our popular pre-conference day is packed with a series of lab sessions that explore key themes and trends relevant for GBS leaders. The labs will take place on Tuesday 26th September 2023.
Labs will foster learning and ideation through facilitated knowledge sharing sessions, with fellow industry leaders and Deloitte experts from numerous geographies.
Given the popularity and interactive nature of these labs, attendance will be limited to two sessions per individual, per organisation, whereby each delegate will be able to attend one out of the four labs in the morning and another in the afternoon, each lasting 3 hours.
This year, the pre-conference labs will cover the following topics:
As one of the themes for this year’s conference 'Building your Brand' is key to unlocking GBS success. At its core, GBS is a service that needs to market itself, communicate its mission, influence its users, and capture their confidence. Establishing a service-oriented brand that speaks to the customers has the power to positively impact the perception of GBS within the enterprise. In this lab, we will look to engage on the following:
As GBS maturity evolves across industries and organisations, more and more GBS leaders are looking to augment their impact on the business strategy. From a Deloitte perspective, we believe the Centre Office model is the right approach and based on concrete client examples, we wish to share with our participants that next level of detail to help each one of you take the next steps towards a more value-adding GBS organisation. In this session, we will:
As productivity continues to be a core focus for GBS Leaders, we aim to share with them success stories and tried and tested use cases for how productivity can be achieved in a data led way using market leading technology.
We will help you address operational demands such as:
The general pressure on companies to increase their commitment towards ESG also affects companies’ GBS organisations as
We will help you form a better understanding of which aspects are required to shape this and provide lessons learned from running transformations, such as:
In a climate of business complexity and tightening budgets, shared services and Global Business Services leaders are re-imagining service delivery to drive down cost and improve experiences for internal and external stakeholders alike. A strong digital foundation creates the opportunity to connect departmental silos and deliver improved efficiency, quality, speed and satisfaction.
In this lab, participants will have an inside look at how an intelligent platform for digital business leads to opportunities to say ‘yes’ to the decisions that both reduce cost and drive growth, instead of choosing between competing priorities. Learn how shared services organisations can leverage the ServiceNow platform to deliver simplified experiences, enable purposeful automation, and provide organizational agility.
Public sector organisations are facing exponential challenges as a result of Geopolitical environment, the resulting economic and budgetary pressures and the impact of these in the provision of public services to the citizens. Additionally, many Public Sector organisations have a legacy technology stack that is approaching its end of life and will need to be replaced in the next 5-10 years as providers withdraw support of legacy platforms. User centricity has often not been a consideration in the design and delivery of services, ultimately impacting the services delivered to the public. Overall Public Sector organisations have lagged significantly behind Private sector in leveraging GBS and Centre office model to create efficient and effective back and middle office.
Deloitte’s point of view is that GBS in Public Sector can accelerate front end service transformation by path clearing and creating the right foundation to enable change. This topic is very closely aligned to the over-arching theme for this year’s conference “imagine, Innovate, Impact”. In this session we will explore the following topics, leveraging decades of learnings from the private sector to help Public Sector organisations leapfrog their transformation:
