Industry Leader, UK Public Sector, Appian
Peter Corpe works at the intersection of technology and public service transformation, helping government organisations navigate the practical realities of digital change. Having worked across central government, the NHS, and local authorities, he understands the unique pressures facing public servants – from meeting security and compliance requirements to demonstrating social value while delivering outcomes on constrained budgets. Peter brings a particular focus to the human side of technology adoption: why procurement processes exist as they do, what keeps civil servants awake at night, and how to make complex systems genuinely useful rather than merely technically impressive.
He has supported some of the UK’s largest public sector digital transformation programmes, helping organisations move from concept to delivery while maintaining compliance with NCSC principles, GDS standards, and an ever-evolving regulatory landscape. Passionate about sharing lessons from both successes and near-misses, he believes candid discussions about what truly works in government technology are far more valuable than polished sales pitches.
His career spans nearly three decades in technology and public service – from shaping identity and security strategy at Oracle and Sun Microsystems, to leading major transformation programmes and EMEA growth at Salesforce, and now driving public sector engagement for Appian across EMEA with a particular focus on the UK government.
