David is senior director at Google UK and Managing Director of Technology, Media, Telecoms & Apps, leading Google’s business, growth and partnerships in some of Britain’s biggest industries. He joined Google in 2011 and has held a number of senior business leadership roles both in the UK and in Google’s EMEA headquarters in Ireland.

Previously, he was chief digital officer at Trinity Mirror plc (now Reach plc), the newspaper publisher. And at Virgin, he worked on digital business development and product development.

David read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Magdalen College, Oxford, where he now serves on the remuneration committee. He serves on the Advisory Board and chairs the Technology Leadership Group of the Prince's Trust, is a Trustee and Board Member of the Media Trust, and previously served on the Board and Executive Committee of the UK Association of Online Publishers. He lives in North London.
