Maria Kyriacou

President, Broadcast & Studios, International Markets, Paramount Global

Maria Kyriacou is Paramount’s President of Broadcast & Studios for International Markets.

Based in London, Maria leads Paramount’s studios and free-to-air businesses for all international markets outside the US, including Channel 5 (UK), Network 10 (Australia), Telefe (Argentina), and Chilevision (Chile). As part of the new and expanded role she took on at the start of 2023, Maria also leads Paramount’s international studios business, overseeing a network of creative hubs around the world focused on producing premium scripted content.

Previously Maria was President, Australia, Israel and UK – and led Paramount’s operations across these leading international markets including all free-to-air, pay and streaming brands. Under her leadership, Paramount successfully launched new SVOD service Paramount+ in Australia in August 2021 and in the UK in June 2022, and she has also overseen the growth in AVOD platform, Pluto TV in the UK. In her new role leading Broadcast and Studios for International Markets, Maria continues to have commercial responsibility for Paramount’s TV Media business across UK, Australia and Israel.

Prior to joining Paramount in 2020, Maria was President of International at ITV Studios where she oversaw its international production business and worldwide distribution arm, ITV Studios Global Entertainment. Maria joined ITV Studios from The Walt Disney Company where she was Senior Vice President, Digital Media Distribution EMEA, with responsibility for the company’s digital media sales and strategy across both channel and programme distribution.

Before entering the media world, Maria worked in the Audit and Advisory Services division at Price Waterhouse Coopers, where she qualified as an ACA. She holds a BSc Economics and Geography from University College London and lives in north London with her family.
