Hailing from North Wales, Emma Underwood has made her mark within the hospitality industry as a dynamic and insightful restaurant general manager, helping to sculpt the guest experience and development of some of the most exciting restaurants in the northwest of England and London including Where the Light Gets In, Darby’s and the soon to be opened Midland Grand Dining Room, the new restaurant from Harry Handelsman and Patrick Powell. Emma has significant recognition and respect in the industry for her work. As well as being awarded Best Front of House at the GQ Food and Drink Awards 2022, she has been featured in Code Hospitality’s Top 100 Influential Women of the Year 2018-2022 and is a columnist for The Caterer and CODE.
