BeyondMe engages a new generation of volunteers

Deloitte is a founding corporate partner of BeyondMe, a social enterprise bringing together professionals, businesses and charities to make a meaningful impact on the world. BeyondMe’s giving model establishes teams of seven colleagues who together donate their time, money and skills to a charity project for 12 months. All Deloitte teams receive mentoring support from a partner and use community investment days offered by the firm.

Within Deloitte we have 16 teams engaging 120 professionals who in the past year donated £25,700 (which was also matched by each team’s partner sponsor) and over 480 hours of business skills to 14 different charities or social enterprises. Deloitte BeyondMe teams are tackling causes including social mobility, education, and employability nationwide.

BeyondMe has 100 teams across 20 businesses donating over £500,000 and 12,000 hours to charities.

A 2015 survey of BeyondMe members found that 73 percent of respondents developed a long-term commitment to giving and volunteering, and over 70 percent increased the amount of money and time they donated due to BeyondMe.
