Bastian has led the MAN Truck & Bus GBS Strategy and Performance Management since April 2025. In this role, he is responsible for developing a holistic GBS strategy, business development, as well as driving innovation within the GBS. Furthermore, he has set up GBS Service Management and Strategic Performance Management.

He started his shared services journey in 2022 by taking over as lead for the Shared Service Strategy & Reporting Factory in which the transformation of MAN's functional Shared Service Centre towards a GBS was initiated. In his 14 years with MAN Truck & Bus, he has also worked as Sales Controller, Finance Director for the MAN Sales Hub in the Middle East and led the Sales Invest & Overhead Controlling.

Bastian holds a diploma in Business Management and studied at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, as well as the Napier University in Edinburgh.
